Lacey Motorcyclist Injured After Hitting Dog

Last week, we discussed how road hazards cause approximately 25,000 vehicle accidents each year in the U.S. We bring this subject up again because a motorcyclist was injured on April 19 when he hit a dog in Lacey Township. According to the Press of Atlantic City, the crash happened at around 3:30 p.m., on west Lacey Road. A police officer reportedly found the motorcyclist in the street following the accident, noting that he was conscious and alert. The motorcyclist reportedly suffered face and shoulder injuries, and complained of back pain. He had to be transported via helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment. The condition of the dog is unknown and the crash remains under investigation.
