Sadly, a construction worker was killed in Ramsey in April when a cinderblock fell on him at an industrial building. According to NJ.com, the man, identified as a 56-year-old Riverdale resident, was working outside a building in the Bergen County when a 9-by-12-foot section of wall fell on top of him. Responders found the man trapped beneath the wall and transported him to a local hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. According to reports, the victim was working with other employees who were removing the wall to prepare for the addition of a garage door to the building. No other injuries were reported in the incident, which remains under investigation.
