Do Surgeons Remove the Wrong Body Parts?

We put an enormous amount of trust in surgeons and their staff when we go under the knife. When these individuals make one wrong move, the consequences are catastrophic and life-changing. Wrong-site surgeries are a perfect example of how surgical errors can become a nightmare for patients and their families. What do these mistakes look like for patients? In Pennsylvania, a man undergoing an orchiectomy had the wrong testicle removed. Instead of removing the damaged testicle that was causing the man severe pain, surgeons removed a healthy testicle. He was unable to have the damaged testicle removed because it would have led to sexual dysfunction and numerous other health problems. As a result of the error, he continues to live in constant pain.
