More than 37 Million Defective Kidde Fire Extinguishers Recalled in the US

Fire extinguishers are one of the most important objects found in buildings across the country. People residing in homes, apartment complexes, businesses and other structures depend on these devices during fires. Without a functioning fire extinguisher, you and your loved ones could be at risk of severe injury or death. Your property and your belongings could be at risk of being destroyed. Kidde is a major producer of fire extinguishers in the US. The company recently announced a recall for 37.8 million fire extinguishers that may fail during an emergency. Some of the 137 Kidde fire extinguishers affected by the recall were manufactured as far back as 1973. According to Kidde, these fire extinguishers may become clogged or fail to discharge during fires. Nozzles used on these fire extinguishers can also come detached with enough force to cause impact injuries. Kidde has received reports of one death and 16 injuries…
