Sadly, on June 16, a 17-year-old Northfield girl was seriously injured in a truck accident at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Shore Road.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, the girl was making a left-hand turn onto Shore Road from Country Club Drive when a truck driven by a 59-year-old from Somers Point struck her vehicle.
The accident occurred at around 12:30 p.m., according to police. The teen had to be extracted from her vehicle by firefighters, paramedics and EMS workers. She was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s Trauma Unit with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, per an announcement from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
