Did you know that our Atlantic City attorneys represent clients in cases where casinos have provided negligent security to patrons, resulting in injury incidents?
Keep in mind, establishments must make sure that customers do not suffer personal injuries on their premises. This includes a duty to provide security for guests who may be subjected to attacks or crime, in addition to keeping visitors safe from employees who may react violently to hectic situations.
We bring this up often in our blog because Atlantic City is a tourist destination that attracts visitors from all over the world. These guests deserve to have their safety valued. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. For example, last year, a 25-year-old man filed a lawsuit against Harrah’s, claiming that the casino’s security force and two off-duty police officers beat him.
The man claimed that he was beaten in the head with a baton and that the casino provides “brute aggressive, physical, violent, unbridled and sadistic overwhelming force” when it comes to security.
According to NJ.com, there is reportedly video of the incident that took place, with attorneys representing the victim saying that the security provided at Harrah’s is “a band of out-of-control, gang-like men.”
Having a Casino Injury Case Investigated
If you have been injured in an altercation at an Atlantic City casino, it may be in your best interest to have the incident investigated by an attorney. Keep in mind, our law firm offers free consultations—this is important because an attorney may be able to speak to you about how to best proceed with an injury claim without it costing you money upfront.
