Why Can Untreated Sleep Apnea Increase the Risk of a Truck Accident?

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), an agency within the US Department of Transportation, has attracted criticism for withdrawing a sleep apnea screening rule. New Jersey Family Barely Survives Terrifying Drawbridge Incident

A New Jersey family en route to Cape May was forced to make a terrifying jump over the Middle Thorofare Bridge. According to the family, the drawbridge began opening underneath them as they were crossing. The father, who was driving the vehicle at the time, made a split-second decision to gun it across the bridge at full-speed. Fortunately, the decision to jump the bridge saved the lives of this man and his family. However, the vehicle suffered $10,000 in damage to its undercarriage.
