$1.2 million dollar wrongful death settlement for defective construction on the Atlantic City Expressway. Mother killed in an accident when the automobile in which she was a passenger struck a temporary concrete barrier on the Atlantic City Expressway. Other family members in the car, including her husband and child, were injured and also suffered from witnessing their loved one’s death. Contractor negligently failed to provide adequate warning to oncoming drivers of significant narrowing of the highway which caused collision with the barrier and a New Jersey Transit bus leaving Atlantic City.

$1 million dollar settlement against Atlantic City Casino for negligently serving alcohol to intoxicated patron who later drove the wrong way up the Brigantine Bridge causing a head on collision with our client who was on his way to work. Client sustained traumatic brain injury and severe leg fracture. In addition to serving the visibly intoxicated person, it was discovered that the Atlantic City casino lost or destroyed the surveillance tapes for the evening in question which would have documented the service of alcohol to the driver.

$950,000 settlement for Atlantic City Casino bus accident. Atlantic City casino bus (also known as a jitney) veered off road into motel causing severe destruction of the motel and injury to the husband and wife inside the collapsed building. The casino bus driver fell asleep at the wheel. Wife suffered multiple injuries to legs requiring surgery. Husband had minor physical injury but witnessed injury to wife.

$850,000 Atlantic City medical malpractice jury verdict for delayed diagnosis of cancer and wrongful death. This matter was successfully litigated all the way to the New Jersey Supreme Court involving a claim of medical malpractice resulting in wrongful death. Defendant doctors failed to diagnosis stomach cancer in a patient who resided in Cape May County. The delay of diagnosis allowed the cancer to advance and cause a loss of chance of greater survival, if proper treatment had been given in a timely fashion.

$850,000 medical malpractice settlement during the course of trial in Atlantic City. Doctor failed to diagnose fetal distress during the course of delivery and negligently delayed the delivery of the child causing a fracture of the skull of the newborn; brain damage and paraplegia.

$850,000 settlement, Atlantic City, for a defective utility pole which fell on a moving car. Our client suffered serious injury which required two surgeries to repair herniated discs which led to a foot drop.

$785,000.00 Atlantic City Settlement for an Atlantic City Casino Shuttle Bus Accident.  A mother and daughter were seriously injured while passengers on a negligently operated Atlantic City casino shuttle bus.  The Atlantic City casino shuttle bus crashed into a casino wall, near the shuttle bus parking area.  The impact threw our clients violently about inside the bus.  Our 15 year old client sustained a complex fracture to her arm that has not healed properly and has prevented her from resuming her high school sports.  The child’s portion of the settlement was $585,000.00.  Her mother injured her lower back underwent significant treatment,including epidural injections, with only slight benefit.  The mother had a prior problem with her lower back, but now may require surgery.  Te mother’s portion of the settlement was $200,000.00.

$750,000 medical malpractice settlement, Atlantic City, failure to diagnose fetal distress during the course of a delivery which resulted in traumatic brain injury to the child.

$750,000 settlement, Atlantic City, for a slip and fall at an electrical utility industrial site. Our client suffered a shattered patella, torn ligaments, herniations in the spine and required multiple surgeries.

$640,000 Atlantic City settlement for automobile accident involving an elderly driver with perception and physical impairments which resulted in striking a child who was walking across the street. The defense claimed the child “darted out.” Investigation revealed severe medical issues concerning the elderly driver who was employed as a delivery person. Atlantic City jury verdict for medical malpractice involving a surgery which took out the wrong section of our client’s large intestine. The error wasn’t recognized until after the surgery. As a result, a second surgery needed to be performed on our elderly client within two days of the first surgery. Complications following the second surgery, including infection, led to our client’s untimely death.

Atlantic City medical malpractice settlement involving negligence during the course of the surgery which resulted in the tearing of our client’s bladder during the course of a routine hysterectomy. Our client suffered with chronic urinary dysfunction as a result.

Atlantic City medical malpractice verdict. Our client was negligently misdiagnosed as having multiple sclerosis, when, in fact, he suffered from herniated discs in his neck. An MRI of his neck was never performed. Our client underwent years of unnecessary treatment for multiple sclerosis when the problem was related to discs pressing on his nerves which could have been treated effectively years earlier.

Atlantic City verdict for medical malpractice. Our client suffered severe scarring and damage to his arm following a negligent effort to remove a tattoo. The procedure was performed by an ear nose and throat doctor who was not qualified.

New Jersey Supreme Court rules in favor of protecting a patient’s right to bring a medical malpractice claim, even when a doctor in the specialty field will not testify against a colleague. Our client suffered injury during a routine procedure. Doctors declined to testify against a fellow specialist. The Supreme Court upheld our client’s right to bring a case where a doctor,outside the specialty, but with vast experience in the procedure in question, can testify as to the negligent actions which caused the injury.

Atlantic City jury verdict for automobile accident on Garden State Parkway. Our client’s vehicle was struck when entering the Garden State Parkway by another vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed causing the vehicle to flip over. Our client suffered severe neck injury but due to his age, was not a candidate for surgery. Client underwent long term epidural injections.

Atlantic City jury verdict for automobile accident. Our client suffered neck injury which led to constant numbness and disability of her arm. Injury made it difficult for her to tend to her newborn child.

Camden County settlement of a tractor trailer accident. Tractor trailer truck rear-ended our client. The tractor trailer driver was severely intoxicated. Our client suffered herniated discs in his spine which did not require surgery but continued pain management.

Atlantic City settlement against intoxicated driver of a company truck which rear-ended our client. Our elderly client suffered neck and low back injuries which forced her to retire early.

Atlantic City settlement during the course of a trial involving an assault by a patron in an Atlantic City casino. Video surveillance from the casino showed the patron’s stalking and threatening behavior and our client’s efforts to seek help from casino security. The intoxicated patron ultimately assaulted our client resulting in significant shoulder and neck injuries.

Atlantic City settlement during the course of trial for a defective casino escalator. After four days of trial and testimony by an expert, the casino and escalator company settled a claim concerning the negligent maintenance and repair of an escalator which stopped abruptly and threw our client down the steps. Client suffered a severe injury to her shoulder which required extensive surgery.

Atlantic City settlement for child attacked by dog. Our 8 year old client was savagely attacked by a schoolmate’s Akita when visiting the child’s apartment. The dog owners declared bankruptcy, but a successful investigation yielded an insurance policy held by the dog owners. The case was settled for the available policy limits.

Jury verdict for employee defrauded by his own Union in a disability claim. The union fraudulently withheld a favorable Arbitration decision which would have required payment of our client’s disability claim. Our client was forced to go through another Arbitration which rendered an unfavorable result. Ultimately, the first result was upheld and the client received payment for his disability claim and damages as a result of the fraud.
